The numerous incomplete drafts seem to stare at me as I click open my dashboard.
I am beginning to wonder if writing is really my cup of tea. Putting my arbitrary thoughts into an organized, let alone absorbing fashion is tougher than I thought.
When I do begin to pen down something, I cant go beyond a line or two. In minutes, I go off the track wondering what I was intending to write. The many 'publish unworthy' drafts stand testimony to this.
Sincerely hoping, I will overcome the initial setback and deliver a good one soon...
Im glad this one made it :)

Mocha Mornings
I write this as I sip into my hot chocolate flavored coffee and my morning seems to brighten up already. There is something almost magical about a good old cup of joe. Oh! There is no magic, just caffeine :(
Call it addiction or craze, nothing can beat that fact it keeps me going through my mundane Mondays, tiring Tuesdays, workaday Wednesdays, traumatic Thursdays and of course the fun Fridays.
Farcical as it may sound, I can roll out of bed and look forward to day unfurl by the very thought of a chocolaty Mocha treat!
Oh, how I love my Mocha Mornings :)

Back again!!!!!
My last blog was way back in 2004!!!! Been a while since I started this whole thing. A lot has changed since then including blogspot!!!! Yeah, I had to go through some stuff to get here.
When I last wrote this blog, I had just graduated from college and waiting to get on board with my first job. I have been through a lot since then. I ve been married to my then best friend , moved to another continent, learnt living on my own , burnt some in the name of cooking , jumped from plane (with parachutes of course!), been in the craziest of roller coasters and a lot more. But this blog is not going to be about any of that. Its going to mirror my current thought process, maybe some movie/ book reviews, some gossip maybe ;) Well..I dont know, but can't wait to get started all over again :D So here I go ...

Jingle all the way...
No! Its not about Christmas or Santa!!!!!!!! Its about Diwali- 'the festival of lights'...I wouldn't be surprised if one tries to figure out a connection between them! Well, here it goes...
As the country is gearing up for yet another Diwali, there is something I notice which has emerged as a big time trend here in Tamil Nadu. It's the classy advertisements accompanied by catchy 'jingles'(now u know what I was referring to). The textile majors face stiff competition and what it takes for them to stay ahead is to do something offbeat or rather innovative. So, the wackiest and brilliant of minds are set to work...and what we get as an outcome is a group of beautiful maidens embellished in colorful n attractive drapes of silk dancing to the very catchy numbers (in well decorated interiors).A few years back, borrowed tunes from the movies were popular. But now its time for innovation, creativity and splendor. The most fanciful and creative promo makes a lot of business. It's more about the right kinda publicity than about the right kinda clothes!!Suprisingly, the innovative jingles are a hit...and I'm sure the trend is here to stay.
Gone are the days when advertisements were a mere accessory for a TV show. Apparently, only the breaks bring in joy and colour into homes after tiring n sorrowful soaps!! But what tires us even more is the repetition of the advertisements. Keeping in mind that these ads go on air almost thrice every half hour...thereby making it a compulsion for the brain to register it in all our minds that u often find some one humming those tunes with a smile. Cause the jingles are easy and fun to hum!
Strange to note that inspite of all the criticism and monotonous repetition...the creative attempts of the commercial biggies bring in happiness and ethusisiasm. Diwali is about sharing, caring and eating of course! (not to forget the sweets)...And in short, diwali is celebration! So! what if you keep hearing the same jingles all the time...it brightens our day...after all that's what diwali is about!

First Funny One
Now...this is a bit weird. I chose to create this space on the internet for myself so that i can lend a piece of my mind to the world and also keep my memories afresh. But I land up, not knowing wat to write . Nevertheless I do firmly believe that the initial akwardness would be overcome soon (or atleast thats wat i hope!!!!)
Talking about memories...Im a person who keeps walking down the memory lane quite often. I love to think of the old and bygone days of my life;such that sometimes I fail to realise that the future has run over me!!!! ha ha...'Nostalgia'- as they call it...is more than an abstract noun for me!! Strange though it may seem that for a person who can remember the date, time and the details of every event : hasnt made any atempt to record it anywhere!!!! Maybe I count on my memory (as in the brain's capacity to remember) that much!!!! I failed to record any of the adventures, the good episodes of humor, the tiring traumas, the strange expereinces, the dash of philosophy, the fun outings with friends and all the silly stuff that happen everyday which is worth a second thought at a later date!!!! But...now...its time to thank technology for letting me share my expereinces and views on issues through web logs...a brillant invention indeed! Hence...my space on the net wud be called "vid log"...pretty kool huh!! So keeping chking it out for more stuff later...
